What are the mean, median and mode ages of deaths involving COVID-19 that have been recorded for Week 49: 30th November – 6th December by the ONS?

Please provide the number of deaths (i.e. the number of death certificates) that these averages are based on.

In order to provide the mean, median and mode age for November to December 2020, we would need to create bespoke analysis. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.

However, the age distribution of deaths involving COVID-19, all deaths, and the five-year average for all deaths, can be found in the following publication: Weekly death registrations. There is also information on mortality rates by age group in the following publication: Monthly mortality analysis dataset.
