You Asked

Please supply datasets on mask wearing of the whole population of the UK. Any other datasets including regional mask wearing or specific age groups, genders, ethnicities would be extremely useful.

We Said

Thank you for your request about mask wearing in the UK.

We have published data on self-reported face mask usage as part of our regular Coronavirus and social impacts on Great Britain release.

Table 1a provides a time series of self-report face mask usage back to May 2020. Additionally, table 3 provides this information by age, sex and region for the most recent data collection period. You can also find information for previous survey periods in the "Previous Publications" tab.

This data covers Great Britain, rather than the whole of the UK (including Northern Ireland). The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Northern Ireland. Should you wish to obtain this data from NISRA, they can be contacted at info@nisra.gov.uk respectively.
