I would like to request the latest birth rates for Cardiff. I see the figures up to 2019 on the ONS website.
Would it be possible to see the latest figures (2020 - 2025) and would it be possible to see the a finer regional split? e.g. by Cardiff Electoral Ward?

Birth rates up to 2023 broken down to local authority level are available from our NOMIS Webservice.
Instructions for use of this service:
- Select geography (England and Wales, regional, or by local authority)
- Select age (all ages, or five-year age bands)
- Select gender (total, or male or female)
- Select rates (all births, rates, or percentage of population, for example)
- Select format (Excel or CSV, for example)
Regarding the specific information requested, we could produce a custom output through our bespoke services route based on birth rates for 2020 to 2024 broken down by administrative wards or parliamentary constituencies in Cardiff. This, along with other special extracts and tabulations of births data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs in line with the ONS charging policy. Please note, we are still in the collection phase for birth data for 2025, so do not hold statistics for this year currently. For annual births and rates, including at local authority level in 2024, please refer to our release calendar for details of when these data will be available.
