Lead fishing sales in the UK

Please provide the amount of lead fishing (angling) weight sales in the UK, ideally annually from 2000-2017.

Lead fishing (angling) weight sales are only collected as part of a more general fishing goods question on the prodcom survey. The sales from such products would likely be reported under the following question:

Q32301600 (CN 9507) - Fishing rods, other line fishing tackle, articles for hunting or fishing not elsewhere classified

So while we have published a sales figure of £28.6m as part of our provisional 2016 release for this question, this includes most sport fishing equipment and other hunting/fishing related equipment. We do not require respondents to split the data any further and therefore would not be able to establish sales or VAT data.

For further information the data for for fishing products (collected under Q32301600 since 2008 and Q36401530 prior to the 2007 SIC change) is in the excel spreadsheet attached.
