I would like to request the following information:

  1. Translators for which languages are employed or engaged on a contractual basis by you? How many for each?

  2. The total number of translators employed or engaged on a contractual basis by you.

We do not directly employ translators. We have two language contracts that include translation of the following languages (NB, the contracts state that this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Welsh 

  • Ukrainian 

  • Farsi 

  • Urdu 

  • Bengali (Dhaka) 

  • Punjabi (Indian) 

  • Russian 

  • Spanish 

Translators are not employed exclusively on the ONS contract. We do not hold information on how many translators each supplier employs or how many are deployed to work on ONS' translations.
