Table A5 in the reference table 'Crime in England and Wales: Appendix Tables' shows the number of instances of insurance fraud reported to Action Fraud (the UK’s national fraud and cyber crime reporting centre) and referred by them to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau, based at the City of London Police, in the year ending March 2015 and the year ending March 2016, which answers points 7 and 8.

With regard to points 9 and 10, the ONS published for the first time in July 2016 an experimental table (E15) which shows offences recorded by the police in England and Wales which were flagged as including an online element. However, while this information is available for some offence groups, it is not currently available for fraud offences.
