Infection data
In the following data set accompanying our latest bulletin, you can find the following data for the period 14 August to 24 September:
- Our modelled daily positivity rates on tab 1b
- Our modelled daily positivity rates by age on tab 1g
- Our modelled daily positivity rates by region on tab 1f
Due to small sample sizes, we only publish data at the regional level.
The dataset accompanying our characteristics article in August contains the latest information for age, sex and ethnicity for the period 08 June to 02 August 2020. Data can be found on tabs 1 and 2.
Please note these are estimates from the ONS COVID-19 Infection survey. The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) produce the number of confirmed daily cases including by local authority in their dashboard, available via the following link: DHSC Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK.
Death data
Please see the following publication: Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional. This provides provisional counts of the number of deaths registered in England and Wales, by age, sex and region, in the latest weeks for which data are available. Includes the most up-to-date figures available for deaths involving the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please also see the following publication: Death registrations and occurrences by local authority and health board. This provides weekly deaths by local authority area and place of occurrence, including deaths in private homes, hospitals, hospices, care homes and other communal establishments. Both publications are updated every Tuesday.
The following publication, Deaths involving COVID-19, England and Wales, provides the number of deaths registered each month in England and Wales, including deaths involving the coronavirus (COVID-19), by age, sex and country including data on pre-existing conditions. Data relating to COVID-19 information can be found in Table 6a. Please note, this data set is currently paused, however COVID-19 deaths continue to be reported in the following publication: Monthly mortality analysis, England and Wales: August 2020.
For information on COVID-19 deaths and ethnicity, please see the following publication: Coronavirus (COVID-19) related deaths by ethnic group, England and Wales: 2 March 2020 to 15 May 2020. This provides deaths related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) by ethnic group, including death counts, age-standardised mortality rates, and hazard rate ratios by age, sex and ethnic group.
This data set will be updated on 14 October 2020.
