I am Requesting this information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and appreciate your timely response; the questions I would like to ask are included below:

Q1 What budget has been allocated for ICT technical training from 1st April 2015 to the 31st of March 2016?

Q2 Can you please provide details of the ICT Managers/Mangers that will purchase ICT technical training?

Q3 Please can we have a list of RFQ (Request for Quotes) for any training that will be purchased within the coming 12 months?

Q4 Is there ICT technical training required to be purchased within a certain time-frame?

Q5 Can I have a list of any ICT software Upgrades planned for the new financial year?

Q6 Can I have a list of any hardware upgrades planned for the new financial year?

Q7 Can you provide copies or details of any ICT projects?

Q8 How much ICT technical training, has been purchased from QA Limited since first of April 2015?

Q9 Do you currently have any skills licences purchased with QA Limited?

B- If so can you please provide a usage report?

Q10 Can you please provide details of the ICT Managers/Mangers that will purchased the licence?

We said

Q1 The budget for 2015/16 for training for the IT side of DTM is £171.8k

Q2 Training requirements are identified and requested by individuals in consultation with their managers. Currently identifying who will purchase training during the year is not possible

Q3 No - as stated above training is purchased as and when required and would be purchased via Civil Service Learning from an agreed list of training. Costs of training would be agreed via the training framework

Q4 No - training is purchased and used when the need is identified

Q5 List of ICT Software Upgrades planned for the new financial year:

  • Ingres

  • Oracle RDBMS

  • Lumension

  • MS SQL

  • VSphere

  • Cisco Prime

Q6 - List of ICT Hardware Upgrades planned for the new financial year:

  • Load Balancers

  • Network Switches

  • Checkpoint Firewalls

Q7 ONS engage in the delivery of a variety of internal IT projects covering server, end-user devices, network & telecommunications technologies based on a mixture of Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix on virtualised and non-virtualised platforms. Further details can be found using the following link

Q8 Since 1st April 2015 no training has been purchased from QA Ltd

Q9 None

Q10 No - skills licences may be purchase by any individual as part of their training. This is done on a case by case budget, so currenlty cannot say who will purchase
