Please supply the following information on Hazara women who have settled in this country since 1978:
The number of Afghans living in the UK
What proportion of those are Hazaras?
How many women are in that cohort?
What proportion of the most recent entrants to the UK are Hazara?

Thank you for your Freedom of Information Request regarding the number of Afghanistan residents, living in the UK, as well as your other questions.
The estimate of the number of people who define their nationality as Afghanistan, resident in the United Kingdom can be found in the July 2020 to June 2021 edition of our Population of the UK by country of birth and nationality dataset: individual country data. The estimate for the number of Afghanistan residents, living in the UK, is in 'Table C', row 7, column F.
Another figure which you may find useful is the number of people born in Afghanistan and living in the UK.
The latest estimate of number of people born in Afghanistan, living in the UK, is in our July 2020 to June 2021 edition of our Population of the UK by country of birth and nationality dataset: individual country data. The estimate for the number of Afghanistan born people, living in the UK, is in 'Table A', row 7, column F.
This figure may be useful, for example, if someone working in the Afghan embassy, from Afghanistan, gave birth to a child in the UK their child would be born in the UK, but they may hold Afghan nationality due to their parents.
To account for changes in the survey methods caused by the pandemic, a new weighting methodology has been introduced, which calibrates to UK, EU and non-EU-born populations for periods from January 2020. Data below UK, EU and non-EU level should be treated with caution and not be compared with previous years.
We only hold data at the country level so cannot provide estimates of the number of women within this cohort, or the proportion of recent entrants to the UK, who are Hazara.
We may be able to carry out bespoke analysis to provide estimates of the number of women, born in Afghanistan, who live in the UK. Such services would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources and agreement of costs.
