I would like to ask how much a PCR test costs the government when requested through the gov.uk testing system.
If an individual were to request a test, including shipping, processing and the test itself how much would that cost the government?

We do not hold the information to enable us to answer your request.
We do hold information on some of the government costs associated with PCR tests but these do not cover the full cost to government and are specific to the setting the in which the test is delivered and the type of lab in which the test is processed. With this information we are unable to answer your request. This information is held to support the development of our consumption of government goods and services volume estimates which feed into estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
