If the relevant statistics are available, please send me the following information for the year beginning on 1 January 1986 and for each subsequent completed calendar year:
1. In each of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, how many girls aged under 16 received from a doctor and/or another type of professional person (such as a social worker, but excluding a schoolteacher) advice about contraception-methods and/or abortion and/or treatment (whether chemical, mechanical, or other) of a contraceptive nature.
2. In how many of the cases falling within 1 above was the advice and/or treatment given without the prior consent of the girl's parent(s) or legal guardian?
3. By comparison with the total number of under-16 girls in, respectively, England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, what was the percentage of such girls who received the advice and/or treatment mentioned in 1 above?

Unfortunately we do not hold any information pertaining to contraceptive advice or treatment. We are responsible for the production of mortality and birth statistics for England and Wales. These are driven by information collected at registration.
