I would like to find out how or where I can find the GDP of Solway Tweed for the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Sector.
We said
ONS does not produce sub-national estimates of GDP at market prices. However, we do produce estimates of Gross Value Added (GVA), which is equivalent to GDP at basic prices.
The areas for which we produce GVA estimates do not align precisely with the River Basin of Solway Tweed. The closest available areas can be found in the linked reference tables in the section relating to areas of Scotland.
The tables provide GVA estimates for selected industry sectors. This provides a good breakdown of the tertiary sector (services), but the distinction between primary (natural resources) and secondary (manufacturing) is less clearly defined. Specifically, the data provide SIC Sections B, D and E as a single category (production, once Section D Manufacturing is subtracted), which does not permit the separation of mining activities from the utilities (electricity, gas and water).
These data represent the closest ONS can provide to the information requested.
