I would like to ask how many people have been fined for refusing to register onto the electoral roll to vote. Please can you provide data on this topic since you started collecting statistical data.

We publish statistics from two main sources of data on crime, the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) and Home Office police recorded crime.

We do not hold the information you have requested relating to how many people have been fined for refusing to register onto the electoral roll to vote.

The Ministry of Justice are primarily responsible for data relating to prosecutions, out of court disposals and fines, and they may be able to help you with your request. They can be contacted at ESD@justice.gov.uk.
