I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please provide the total amount paid by the Office for National Statistics to Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS) in connection with the recruitment and/or management of field interviewers.
I would like the total amount provided for each financial year since the start of the contract, up to and including the most recent available year.
Please also confirm:
- The start date and, if known, the anticipated end date of the contract with AMS.
- Whether AMS is part of a framework of multiple recruitment providers, and if so, the name of that framework and the other providers involved.

Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act.
Since the contract started on 27 March 2025, total invoice charges by AMS to date equate to £315,990.35 including VAT.
We already had a Recruit, Train, Deploy contract with AMS which was utilised to introduce the recruitment of Social Survey face to face interviewers from 27/03/2023. We have subsequently migrated on to a new AMS contract which ends 5 August 2031.
We engaged with AMS via (originally) RM3749 Public Sector Resourcing and (subsequently) RM6288 Workforce solutions, a single managed service provider (MSP) contract with AMS being the sole supplier.
