Exit Interviews

You asked

I am writing to request answers to the following questions under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The questions are in relation to the International Passenger Survey (IPS):

  • The number of completed exit interviews carried out by port between 1st January 2015 and 31st December 2015

  • What the split is at each port between (a) UK residents who are departing the UK for a stay abroad and (b) Overseas residents who are departing the UK at the end of their visit.

We said

The attached Excel file shows the number of IPS interviews conducted on passengers leaving the UK in 2015. The figures are broken down by port and by residence (UK and non-UK).

Please note that the figures for 2015 are provisional and are therefore subject to change slightly before the final figures are published in Spring 2016.
