I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following information:

1) How many people of working age live in the Lancaster district

2) How many people of working age self-disclosed as being disabled living in the Lancaster district

3) How many self-disclosed as being disabled are in work, who live in the Lancaster district.

4) If there were a league table of councils to do with the number of disabled workers living in an council area, where would Lancaster stand in this table.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request regarding data relating to Lancaster.

The number of people of working age living in Lancaster in 2016 is 89,843. We have used the age range 16-64 in the calculation of this figure, but should you need a different age range, please use this link: Population Estimates for UK, England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and download the spreadsheet for Mid-2012 to Mid-2016. Regional data by single year of age can be found on tab MYE2-2016 All.
