You asked
You've provided data on the emotional impact of crime incidents for hate crime and household crime from the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) in the year ending Mar 2025 hate crime publication. Appendix Table 19: Emotional impact of crime incident, victims aged 16 and over.
Please can you provide me the emotional impact of crime incidents for the personal crime breakdowns: violence with injury and violence without injury from the CSEW 2022 to 2025 dataset.
We said
Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately, we do not hold information showing emotional impact of incidents of violence (with and without injury) from our three-year dataset, covering the year ending March 2023 to March 2025 (April 2022 to March 2025) in a recorded form.
To fulfil this request, we would need to create new information, which we are not obliged to do under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
For further context, we have not produced this output before it would require an entire new piece of analysis from the preparation of the data, running the analysis and quality assurance to provide the information you have requested.
However, we do produce single-year estimates on the emotional impact of incidents of violence (with and without injury), which you may find useful. These are available in Tables 5b and 5e of our Nature of crime: violence dataset.
If you have any further questions, please email crimestatistics@ons.gov.uk and we will endeavour to help.
