You asked
May I have the number of children (0-17 years inclusive) whose usual residence falls in each IMD (2019) quintile, in the Berkshire area only?
We said
Thank you for your request.
The Census does not collect information on someone's individual deprivation. However, we do hold and collect Households by deprivation. Therefore, the information you have requested relating to the deprivation of children is not held but we hope you find the below information and guidance of use.
Please see table attached from the 2011 Census that includes an Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) indicator titled "Households by deprivation dimensions".
The table (attached) shows households by deprivation dimension for each of the Local Authorities in Berkshire.
Equivalent information from the 2021 Census is not yet available. This link https://www.ons.gov.uk/census/aboutcensus/censusproducts/topicsummaries provides details of our release plans.
