You asked

Can you supply me with statistics for Deaths & Injuries on Zebra Crossings in the UK, for the years 2016 & 2017.

We said

Thank you for your enquiry.

We produce statistics for deaths which occur in England and Wales, using the information provided during the registration of a death. Cause of death is coded using version 10 of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10). Whilst there are a number of ICD-10 codes related to road transport accidents, there is no specific code for deaths which occur on Zebra crossings. The cause of death is usually more specific to the circumstances of the accident rather than where it occurred.

However, the Department for transport publish national statistics for the number of injuries and deaths on Zebra crossings, in Great Britain for 2013 to 2017:

Other special extracts and tabulations of deaths data for England and Wales are available (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs, where appropriate). You can contact the team directly at: vsob@ons.gov.uk
