Please provide the number of children aged 12-17 who died, including the causes of death, for the dates listed below:

We publish in standard 5 year age groups (10 - 14 and 15-19) on our  NOMIS Webservice which will provide annual data for 2019 and 2020. Please see the following instructions for using this service:

• Select the geography (England and Wales, regional or by local authority)

• Select Age - All ages or 5-year age bands

• Select Gender - Total or Male/Female  

• Select rates - All deaths, rates or percentage of population for example

• Select cause of death (ICD10 code search is available or select all leading causes)

• Select format (Excel or CSV for example)  

I have attached a NOMIS Output for all deaths for this age group for 2020 and 2019 by leading cause groups.

2021 data will be available in NOMIS in July 2022. This is to allow the inclusion of late death registrations, which are deaths that have been referred to Coroner for investigation.

We do not hold analysis for your specified age group or time period. However, we could create this as a custom output via our bespoke services route. Special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs). Such enquiries fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and can be made to: Health.Data@ons.gov.uk.
