Our annual publication, named the Deaths Registered Series, provides annual deaths and standardised mortality rate by area of usual residence by region, unitary authority, and metropolitan authority. You will find this information in table 2 of the publication. Data is available from 2006 to 2019. This publication will be updated with 2020 data in July 2021.

Should you wish to obtain further analysis by CCG, we may be able to create a custom output. Information on mortality rate by CCG, along with other special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate). Such enquiries would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and should be made to: Health.Data@ons.gov.uk.
