Can you provide by year covering the period 1 April 2018 to 30 September 2023, a table or data of suicides registered in the UK (or England and Wales if your data only includes those two countries), with the table or data disaggregated by:
(a) the country of birth of the deceased
(b) their age
(c) if possible, the local authority area of the suicide

We are responsible for the production of mortality statistics for deaths registered in England and Wales. This is driven by information collected from death certificates at death registration. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. They can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively.
We publish information on suicides registered in England and Wales in our Annual Suicides publication. Data are available by age and local authority separately.
Further information can be requested via our bespoke services route. This service is subject to disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs in line with the ONS Charging Policy. Please note that it is unlikely that we could provide information on suicide registrations by country of birth, age group and local authority due to the risk of disclosure.
