I would appreciate current and projected births, deaths & houses needed for Swale in Kent. I appreciate within the Covid parameters this is likely to be an unknown factor, but I'm not sure when the last forecast was released.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request asking for current and projected births, deaths and houses needed for Swale in Kent.

Our 2018-based subnational population projections and household projections are the most recent ones available. These projections include data for Swale, starting at row 3572 in the population projections tables. In the household projections you can find the Swale data on row 303 of Table 406 and row 295 in the other tables listing local authorities.

We are in the process of making a decision on when the next series of projections will be produced.

Please note that household projections are not a prediction or forecast of how many houses should be built in the future. Instead, they show how many additional households would form if assumptions based on previous demographic trends in population growth and household formation were to be released. The current projections do not factor in the effect of the coronavirus (COVID-19) or attempt to predict the possible effects of any future political or economic developments.
