You asked
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding crime statistics and immigration data in the UK. Specifically, I would like to request the following information for the last ten years:
1. Crime Statistics by Ethnicity and Religion (and region):
The total number of crimes committed by individuals from different ethnic and religious groups across the UK.
A breakdown of the types of crimes committed by different ethnic and religious groups, specifically including the number of crimes committed by Christians, Muslims, Hindus and individuals from other religious backgrounds in categories such as:
- Sexual offences (including but not limited to sexual assault, rape, and child sexual exploitation).
- Child-related offences (including but not limited to paedophilia, molestation, rape, and child pornography).
2. Immigration Statistics:
The number of immigrants to the UK categorised by ethnicity and religion over the last ten years.

Crime queries:
Unfortunately, we do not hold data on the ethnicity and religion of perpetrators of crime.
Our publications and data concern crime as it is experienced by victims, or as it is recorded by the police. We do not generally produce statistics or details on the offender.
However, we have published some data on ethnicity of defendants and offenders of sexual offences for year ending December 2017 as part of the 2018 'Sexual offending: victimisation and the path through the criminal justice system' release within the Ministry of Justice appendix tables.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) are primarily responsible for data on offenders. They publish Statistics each quarter which may be of help to you. You may find their report Statistics on Ethnicity and the Criminal Justice System 2022 of use. You may also want to have a look at the MoJ's outcomes by offence data tool: June 2023. It allows you to filter it by offence and ethnicity to find the convictions and sentenced numbers.
If you have any questions, the Ministry of Justice may be able to help you further and can be contacted at data.access@justice.gov.uk
