Please provide the most recent figures relating to convictions of sexual abuse towards children for the UK.

We hold data which relates to the number of crimes recorded by the police and measured by the Crime Survey for England and Wales. We do not hold data which relates to offenders or convictions, and therefore we are unable to provide any statistics on the number of convictions related to the sexual abuse of children.
The Ministry of Justice publishes a range of statistics relating to the operation of the criminal justice system and you may be interested to see their most recent report concerning court statistics titled ‘Criminal Justice System statistics quarterly: March 2017’. This report presents key statistics on activity in the criminal justice system for England and Wales, including court decisions and sentencing data broken down by offence type.
