I would formally like to request the amount of people who have been sent to prison for the crime of contempt of court. In the history of the English judicial system.

We do not hold data relating to people who have been imprisoned following conviction for the offence of “Contempt of court” in the history of the judicial system in England.
Data relating to sentencing outcomes for convictions of offences in England and Wales (which share a unified court system) are collected and published by the Ministry of Justice. These data are available in the “Outcomes by offence data tool” from their “Criminal Justice System statistics quarterly” releases. The latest edition of this release is available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/criminal-justice-system-statistics-quarterly-june-2024.
