We publish statistics for unemployment related benefits under the title of the Claimant Count. This measure covers people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) and those in the "searching for work" conditionality of Universal Credit.
Claimant Count figures for local authorities are published each month in Table CC01. The output is in excel format and includes a breakdown by sex. This can be obtained via the following link: Claimant Count by Unitary and Local Authority.
