I was just wondering where I might be able to find the statistics which show the number of children born each year with Talipes (Clubfoot). Does this information get recorded anywhere?

We are responsible for the production of mortality and births statistics. These are derived from information collected at the registration of the birth or death. Congenital anomalies at birth are not collected by the ONS, therefore this data is not held by us.
NHS England holds data on the number of children born with Talipes, figures for 2020 and 2021 can be found in data table 1 in NCARDRS Congenital Anomaly Statistics: Annual Data. Figures for 2015-2019 can be found via the UK government’s NCARDRS congenital anomaly statistics: annual data. For more recent data NHS England may be better placed to answer your query. Public Health Scotland also holds data on the number of children born with Talipes, figures for 2000 and 2020 can be found in table 1 of Congenital conditions in Scotland 2000 to 2020, and 2021 and 2022 figures can be found in Congenital conditions in Scotland 2021 to 2022.
NHS Wales also holds data on the number of children born with Talipes, figures for 2009 and 2023 can be found in table 2 of the CARIS Annual Review & Data Tables.
