Please can you provide me with any available data you have on the volumes of cash purchases of residential property. Prices of properties sold for cash are available from the ONS site, but I would like the corresponding volumes, by local authority. I would like this as a time series, monthly, from as far back as the data permits please.

We do not currently produce statistics on the volumes of cash sales of residential properties by local authority, and so these statistics are not available.
However, we are working to produce these statistics in the future. In September 2016 we conducted a user questionnaire, responding to requests from users we published a note of our planned changes which can be found here:

One of the things that we committed to do for summer 2017 was to “increase the data breakdowns published, by also publishing volumes for cash/mortgage sales and new/old properties”.
