Please could you provide the latest breakdown of total VAT or PAYE businesses in Cornwall by Broad Industry Group & Size (employee banding)?

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.
We produce an annual publication called UK Business: Activity, size and location. This publication breaks down the number of UK Businesses (registered for VAT and/or PAYE) by geography, employment size-band, industry and legal status. It is created using an extract of the Inter Departmental Business Register (IDBR) taken on 13 March 2021.
The data you are requesting regarding the number of businesses registered for VAT and/or PAYE in Cornwall by Broad Industry Group are available in our workbook accompanying our UK Business; activity, size and location publication (Table 1). We also provide a break-down of businesses registered for VAT and/or PAYE by employment size-band, also by Local Authority (Table 5).
