Please see attached the Business Case that was prepared in September 2020, which involves plans for the 2021 Census.
Please note, financial information in Business Cases is based on assumptions and the wider context at a 'point in time' (August/September 2020 in this particular case). This will be subject to movement and change as is normal particularly with a programme of this scale and nature. Of particular note, since this case was drafted, the pandemic has introduced impacts that have needed to be managed.
We also report expenditure on Census related activity through our Annual Report and Accounts each year, which provides additional transparency as to what actually happened in any given financial year.
