Please provide burglary data by region, town or postcode.
We said
Thank you for your enquiry. We publish figures on crime in England and Wales based on two sets of statistics: police recorded crime data and the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW).
Estimates of burglary at a regional level can be found in our CSEW open data tables, published alongside our quarterly bulletin. The sample size for the CSEW is not however designed to provide estimates at lower level geographies. Thus, the preferred measure for this type of analysis is police recorded crime, which includes those crimes that have been reported to the police and recorded by them.
Our police force area tables provide police recorded crime data on burglary offences by police force area for the year ending March 2019.
The Home Office also publish police recorded crime open data tables which provide data at offence description level, broken down by community safety partnership area and police force area. You can use this dataset to filter on burglary offences, locations and time periods you are interested in.
You may also be interested in the website Police.uk where you can input a postcode to view crimes recorded in your local area.
