Under The Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to know the number of babies from years 2017 - 2022 born in Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Additionally, I would like to know the number of still births from years 2017 - 2022 born in Wales, England Scotland and Northern Ireland.

We are responsible for the production of births data for England and Wales, this is driven by information collected from the birth certificate at birth registration. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland. They can be contacted at foi@nrscotland.gov.uk and info@nisra.gov.uk respectively.
We do receive headline births and stillbirths data from NISRA and NRS which is published as part of our Vital statistics in the UK: births, deaths and marriages. The latest data available is 2020, with 2021 data due to be published on 24 February 2023. We have published Births in England and Wales which includes live births and still birth data for 2021 in September 2022.
