Please could I request birth data showing how many babies are born on each day of the year between 2000 and 2020 (or the most recent dataset available) to show the most and least popular birth dates?

Unfortunately we would be unable to provide you with daily live births from 2000 to 2020. In order to fulfil this request, we would need to create a bespoke analysis or table. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.
We can provide the following user requested data set number of live births by date, 1995 to 2016, in England and Wales
If this does not meet your needs, we may be able to create a custom output. Information on live births by date and year, along with other special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate).
Such enquiries would fall outside of the Freedom of Information regime and should be made to health.data@ons.gov.uk.
