You asked
I would like to explore if there is any statistical correlation between the number of beds of the Care Homes that have an accreditation in Palliative and End-of-life care and the actual place of death of their residents per region in England.
I have already found online the Care Homes that are accredited (by the Gold Standards Framework) and their bed capacity.
It would be most useful to also find the total number of beds of Care Homes, both accredited and not, per Integrated Care Board region (coded E540).
I have not managed to find the data allocated to the Integrated Care Board (ICB) regions.
I would be most grateful if you could provide me with the number of beds of Care Homes per ICB regions (coded 540).

Thank you for your request.
We do not hold data on the number of beds in care homes.
The Care Quality Commission's (CQC's) Using CQC data web page holds the "Care directory with filters" dataset, which provides numbers of care home beds. The NHS Shared Business Services has a lookup between Client Commissioning Group (CCG) to Integrated Care Board (ICB) listings that can be used to match the CCG codes in the CQC care directory with filters to ICB codes.
Primary care data are held by NHS England or CQC, who may be able to assist further. You can send freedom of information requests to NHS England by email at england.contactus@nhs.net, or email CQC at performance@cqc.org.uk.
