Surnames are provided on the birth registration data that we receive from the General Register Office (GRO), however, they have not been used to undertake statistical analysis. The information you have requested is therefore not held by ONS.
Other special extracts and tabulations of births data for England and Wales are available (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreement of costs, where appropriate). If you would like any further information, you can contact the team directly at: vsob@ons.gov.uk
