Thank you for your enquiry

We have answered your questions where we can with the data we hold.

  • Referring to your request for average income of females in age bands 18 to 21 and over 21. This bespoke analysis can be found here and uses our most recent data (Financial year ending 2020). You may also be interested in our average household income tables which are included with our annual average household income bulletin.

  • Estimates for the number of people employed by occupation in the UK, by sex, are produced from the Annual Population Survey (APS) and are published on Nomis, here:

https://www.nomisweb.co.uk/datasets/aps168/reports/employment-by-occupation?compare=K02000001

However, due to small sample sizes, we do not publish this analysis broken down by age band.

Occupations of Female youths: Table DC6112EW Occupation by sex by age – Age 16 to 19; Age 20 to 21; Age 22 to 24; Age 25 to 29; Age 30 to 34; Age 35 to 39; Age 40 to 44; Age 45 to 49; Age 50 to 54; Age 55 to 59; Age 60 to 64; Age 65 and over. Link: https://www.nomisweb.co.uk/census/2011/dc6112ew

It is possible to request an ad-hoc breakdown based on sex and age band from our social surveys team, however you should note that we may charge for this service, in line with our charging policy, depending on the amount of time taken to develop the analyses and undertake quality and disclosure control processes. Also, due to small sample sizes, the resulting estimates are likely to be subject to high sampling variability: https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/whatwedo/statistics/requestingstatistics/makingarequest

Our 'Families and Households 2020' bulletin includes data within tables 7 and 8 on non-dependent children i.e. those living with their parents aged 19 and over or those not in full-time education or those who have a spouse, partner, or child living in the household. Also included within the bulletin is a dataset which provides regional level data for the same.

Please note we do not hold analysis specifically for those aged 18 to 21 years of age. This would need to be created as bespoke analysis which we are not obligated to do under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. We therefore consider this to be information not held. Such services would be subject to legal frameworks, disclosure controls, resources and agreement of costs. If you would like to request this bespoke dataset, please contact pop.info@ons.gov.uk to discuss your enquiry further. Please note, there may be a charge for this work which would be subject to our charging policy.

For the 'population in all age groups', the mid-2019 population estimates provide the most up to date data.

When accessing any of our files please read the 'notes, terms and conditions' contained within them.
