Thank you for your enquiry requesting the average age of a death involving COVID-19.
We hold the following analysis which we publish monthly Single year of age and average age of death of people whose death was due to or involved COVID-19 - Office for National Statistics (ons.gov.uk). November 2021 is the latest data available.
The following table has been extracted from this publication. This show the median and mean average age of deaths for deaths due to and involving COVID-19. Deaths "involving" a cause include all deaths where the cause was mentioned anywhere on the death certificate, as a main cause of death or a contributory cause. Deaths "due to" a cause are subset of "involving", and only include deaths where the cause was the underlying (main) cause of death.
