Could you please tell me what the average age of death by all causes was in 2022 across the population of England and Wales. Feel free to include Scotland and NI if that is easier.

We do not hold analysis of the average age of all cause deaths in England and Wales in 2022.
We do hold life expectancy tables for the UK National life tables - life expectancy in the UK which looks at Trends in period life expectancy, a measure of the average number of years people will live beyond their current age, analysed by age and sex for the UK and its constituent countries for 2020 to 2022.
We also hold Mortality in England and Wales for 2020 which looks at the modal and median average age of death in 2020.
If you would like the average of death in England and Wales to be analysed, this can be completed as a bespoke request. These services are subject to disclosure controls, legal frameworks, resources and agreement to costs under the ONS Charging Policy.
