You asked

How many autopsies have been carried out on Covid-19 vaccinated subjects that have died since roll-out of the vaccines and how many of these deaths were attributed to vaccine adverse effects?

We said

Thank you for your enquiry.

You can find the number of deaths involving COVID-19 (not restricted to first or second vaccination) in Table 12 of our Monthly Mortality Analysis dataset, these include figures for deaths involving adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccination. There are currently 4 deaths registered with the aligning ICD-10 codes for this (U12.9). The latest data available is June 2021.

In order to provide the number of autopsies carried out since the role out of the COVID-19 vaccinations we would need to create bespoke analysis. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Public Authorities are not obligated to create information in order to respond to requests. We therefore consider this to be information not held.

We may be able to provide autopsy analysis as a bespoke analysis. Such services would fall outside the Freedom of Information regime and would be subject to subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources, and agreements of costs, where appropriate.

If you would like to request a bespoke analysis, please contact health.data@ons.gov.uk.
