Apartment buildings and parking spaces in England

I'm trying to find the:

1. Number of apartment buildings in England
2. Number of apartment buildings in England with dedicated car parking spaces

We said

Thank you for your enquiry about the number of apartment buildings in England including with dedicated car parking spaces. 

Unfortunately, we do not hold data on the number of apartment buildings or the number of dedicated car parking spaces. 

We do however publish statistics from the Census on the number of flats, maisonette or apartments, the difference being that multiple flats may be in the same building. We also publish statistics on the number of households with access to cars or vans. 

In 2021 there were 5,207,596 households living in flats, maisonettes or apartments in England. Of these, 2,568,469 households had access to at least one car or van.  

You can explore the data further using the Census create a custom dataset tool using "accommodation type" and/or "car or van availability".
