I would like to know the exact number of deaths in:
England and Wales Scotland Northern Ireland For each of the years 2000 to 2021 and also for 2022 up to the end of July.

We are responsible for the production of mortality data for England and Wales and National Records Scotland (NRS) and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In collaboration with NRS and NISRA, we publish headline mortality data for the UK in our Vital statistics in the UK: births, deaths and marriages - Office for National Statistics (ons.gov.uk) publication. This is published at the end of each year with data supplied by NISRA and NRS. The latest data available is 2020. This publication will be updated with data for 2021 in December 2022.
Finalised mortality data for England and Wales for 2021 is available in the following publication: Deaths Registered Series. Please see table 1a which provides annual counts for 2000-2021.
Provisional figures for England and Wales for 2022 are available in table 1 of the Deaths registered weekly in England and Wales, provisional.
