- Annual Death Statistics for England and Wales combined from the years 2010 to 2020
- Annual Death Statistics for the United Kingdom as a whole from the years 2010 to 2020

We hold analysis showing headline figures for UK deaths in our Vital statistics in the UK: births, deaths and marriages from 1887 -- 2019. England and Wales deaths are also available combined and separately within this dataset.
For 2020 data, our Excess deaths registered in 2020, England and Wales - Office for National Statistics (ons.gov.uk) publication states that there were 607,922 deaths in England and Wales. 569,700 registered deaths in England and 37,399 registered deaths in Wales.
We do not hold 2020 mortality data for the whole of the UK as we are responsible for the production of Mortality data for England and Wales. National Records Scotland (NRS) and Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) are responsible for statistics pertaining to Scotland and Northern Ireland and have published their 2020 mortality date via the following links:
