Hi, I would like the following information.
1) All annual deaths for the years 2020,2019,2018,2017,2016.
I'm only looking for the total number of recorded deaths from all settings and not individual, week to week or anything like that.

Annual mortality figures can be found in our 'Deaths Registered Series datasets'. Annual totals for your requested years can be found in table 1.
Our annual mortality figures for England and Wales for 2020 have not yet been finalised. The annual deaths registered series dataset is scheduled for release in summer 2021.
Provisional mortality data for England and Wales is available via our 2020 weekly deaths dataset. Provisional weekly totals can be found in the 'Weekly figures 2020' table. I have summed these figures for you: All causes England and Wales 2020 (provisional) -- 614,114.
