Please supply the death statistics for people who have had no existing health issues and have died (for any reason) after having one of the covid vaccines, by age group.

Thank you for your enquiry.
We are responsible for the production of mortality data for deaths registered in England and Wales. This is driven by information collected from the death certificate at death registration.
We hold all-cause mortality data for on those who have died during the pandemic since the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme. In order to complete this request, we would first need to identify those who have died without any pre-existing health conditions. Due to the number of possible causes of death, we would need to check against each cause of death to see how many people in the cause groups died without any pre-existing conditions. COVID-19 vaccination status is not provided to us via the death certificate. Therefore, we would need to conduct complex data linkage of ONS mortality to hospital episode statistics data to work out those that had received a COVID-19 vaccination. The volume of analysis required to complete this request falls outside of the remit of the Freedom of Information Act. Consequently, we consider this data not held.
However, we may be able to produce this analysis for you as a bespoke request for deaths by a specific cause, rather than all causes of death. Creation of bespoke tabulations would be subject to agreement of costs, resource and disclosure controls. Deaths reported as due to or involving the COVID-19 vaccination are recorded using ICD-10 code U12.9. We do not receive information on the brand of vaccination administered.
We report deaths attributed to adverse reaction to the COVID-19 vaccination monthly within our Monthly Mortality Analysis. The latest data available is January 2022.
There are currently 24 deaths registered in England and Wales with the aligning ICD codes for this, 18 of these deaths have ICD-10 U12.9 as the underlying cause.
This data will be updated for February 2022 on 24 March 2022.
Please note that these are deaths across all age groups since the rollout of the vaccination in December 2020 and there are no deaths registered under the age of 30.
