Is it possible for you to please provide me with the age-standardised mortality rate for each month in the year 2000? I have searched your website and previous FOI requests and could not find the information I need.
I need this for an article I am currently working on so would be grateful if you could get back to me via email at your earliest convenience.

Monthly mortality rates are not readily available for the year 2000, however numbers of deaths, population estimates and rate calculation templates are available. I have included links to these below.
Numbers of monthly deaths from 1988 to 2019, is available to download here: Monthly death registrations by age group and local authority, England and Wales: 1988 to 2019.
Population estimates for the year 2000 are available to download from the ONS website via the following links:

Templates that can be used to calculate rates are available here: Rates templates.
Alternatively, special extracts and bespoke tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order up to 2019 (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate).
