Age of people who have died due to COVID-19

Please supply what age people have died due to COVID-19 for the whole period (from 2019 to 2020).

Please can you send a table according to age of deaths:

Age 75 plus

Age from 65 to 70

Age from 60 to 65

Age from 55 to 60

Age from 50 to 55

Age from 45 to 50

Age from 40 to 45

Age from 35 to 40

Age from 30 to 35

Under 30 years of age

Under 25 years of age

Aged 18 - 25

Aged 16 to 25

Aged 16 to 18

Also, please supply the average age of death from COVID-19 (for males, females and for both).

The first death involving COVID-19 was registered in 2020, therefore we hold no information for 2019 for this specific cause of death.

We hold the following analysis for 2020 Deaths due to COVID-19, registered in England and Wales. This offers Deaths registered in England and Wales due to coronavirus (COVID-19) by age, sex, region, place of death, and pre-existing condition. Within this spreadsheet you will find deaths by 5 year age group which will supply all requested age groups except for 18 -- 25,16 - 25 and 16 - 18.

Please see the table below for a breakdown by ages 18-25, 16-25 and 16-18.

Average age of deaths due to or involving COVID-19

We hold the following analysis Average age of death (median and mean) of persons whose death was due to COVID-19 or involved COVID-19, by sex, deaths registered in March 2020 to August 2021, England and Wales which provides a monthly average and an 18 month total for England and Wales.
