I would like to know the number of adoption orders in England and Wales. I would like a total number per year, every year, since 1949.

Unfortunately, we do not hold data relating to adoptions in England and Wales.
The Department for Education (DfE) publish the following report, which may helpful: Children looked after in England including adoptions, Reporting year 2021.
