I am currently conducting historical research into the demographics of Corby in Northamptonshire. As such, I am making this request to gain access to the statistical data collected in the 1971 Census from what was then the Corby Urban District. If you are looking for more granular information, unfortunately we cannot provide the raw data collected for the 1971 Census data for Corby in Northamptonshire as this dataset is considered personal information. Section 39 of the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007 (SRSA) renders it an offence to disclose information held by the Statistics Board for statistical purposes that would identify an individual. As we are prohibited by law from releasing information in which individuals can be identified, Section 44(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) applies.
