Please disclose, preferably by PDF, any information related to the 1881 Census Reports about how the County of Gloucester or Gloucestershire comprised areas that include the city of Bristol.

Thank you for your freedom of information request. 

The 1881 Census County Reports are very fragile, and we are unable to photocopy pages on a flatbed scanner as this would damage the spine. Please find photographs of every page from the 1881 Census County Report for Gloucester. 

Historic census volumes are often held in good reference libraries. The British Library holds a complete set, should you wish to view the actual reports.

Alternatively, digital scans of all the pages from the census volumes from 1801-1931 are available from the Histpop website. Histpop is an online repository of historical population reports.
